hair spray
What You Need:
- 1 lemon
- 2 cups water
- A pot
- A strainer
- An empty spray bottle
Difficulty: Easy
Time Required: 20 minutes or less
Here's How:
- Slice the lemon into wedges.
- Place in a pot, and cover with two cups water.
- Boil until half of the liquid remains.
- Allow to cool. Then, strain, and place in a spray bottle.
- If the finished spray feels sticky to the touch, dilute it with a bit of water.
- Then, store your hair spray in the refrigerator for up to one week.
Tips:
- Add a Tablespoon of rubbing alcohol to the recipe, and the hair spray can be stored at room temperature for up to two weeks.
- Have dry hair? Then, try an orange instead of a lemon.
- Customize the scent of your hair spray by adding a couple drops of your favorite essential oil.
- Be sure to label the contents of your bottle.
Bubble bath
mix together 1/2 cup of baby shampoo, 3/4 cup of water, and a few pinches of salt.
Stir in a few drops of essential oil. pour the mixture into a pretty bottle
Body glitter
what you'll need:
- 1 teaspoon petroleum jelly
- 4 teaspoons aloe vera gel
- ultrafine cosmetic glitter
- a small jar (baby food jars or spice jars will work well)
- a small bowl
- a spoon
1. spoon the aloe vera gel into the bowl. put in the petroleum jelly to make it thicker. stir well
2. sprinkle a few pinches of glitter into the mixture. stir well
3. smooth onto the back of your hand to see if you like it.
4. spoon the mixture into your jar
